The last sunset
It was on the golden sunset.
Over the pick of the high mountain.
The kings settled to speak,
They exchanged words of wisdom,
Love and hatred, life upon death.
Rebel ain’t a thing but we live it on
With tears and anger, loyalty fell.
Past gave reasons why not or to hold on,
With broken strength and void inside,
The Wounded jaguar refused to cease,
He denied help that leads fate away,
Because valor is a thing we'd live with.
He knew the best fair story.
The disguised father had well recited.
Kin grew to strong that it made him fight,
Just upon the way home to see the majestic truth,
But that wasn’t enough to make him retreat,
Coz fear is a thing we’d leave hint on.
With tears and anger, proud rose!
He asked to be buried in ocean,
Just like people he called ancestors,
Who jumped off the cargo ships,
That shifted them from home to slavery,
Coz they knew death was better than bondage.
Blood taught a good lesson,
The golden jaguar was gone,
But the gate remained not closed,
The good king got a new perspective,
of not turning back to the relatives,
Coz love is the thing we ought to live on.
